HISTORY
The Brave wines were created as perfect pairs to food, particularly with spicier and Asian foods. The warrior symbol that is part of the The Brave's label is one of very few symbols that share the same meaning across Japanese, Chinese and Korean languages; it means to be brave and show courage.
REGION
The Clare Valley in South Australia is a classic Australian region for both Shiraz and Riesling. Its continental climate is ideal for dry, long living Riesling and for spicy, characterful Shiraz.
RANGE
The Brave range is a Riesling that is very so slightly off-dry and a fruit-driven Shiraz that has spicy notes, good structure and bright acidity.
The Brave Riesling is a particularly good pair with Asian foods such as Thai, Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese and spicy Japanese dishes. The Brave Shiraz has also been handcrafted with dining in mind and makes a terrific pair with both spicier, grilled and barbequed foods.
The wines soon to be available in the United States are:
- The Brave Riesling 2008, Clare Valley
- The Brave Riesling 2009, Clare Valley
